GREAT SOUND

Hey there... you've got a great sound here. I love your choice of synths. What's more is your piece actually moves and builds... that's true talent right there dude. The only thing I'd point out that needs improvement upon would be your kicks... all through your song they were hard to hear. The music kept moving cuz everything was so well written... it's just help the bounce-y feel of the song along if the kicks were more audible. Try adding a compressor on them- that always helps me.

Would you mind giving me your opinion on one of my works? I'd appreciate it if you did.

Great start...

You've got a good sound for your first entry into the portal (i can't tell if you're new to this or not by that so I'll assume you're not!) Anyways, I'll get right to the point- here's something I felt you could keep in mind with your next piece. The beat in this one made it hard for the song to get energetic and just... flow. Try writing your beats and melodies to support each other, and your flow should improve dramatically.

I look forward to your next piece! If you have the time, would you lend your ear to one of my works and give me your feedback? I'd appreciate it.

Impressive!

I'm quite impressed here... Was that you playing the piano? If so then I'm not only impressed- I'm FLOORED by your efforts here. Truly a beautiful piece. The only thing I would improve upon, and this was commented upon by other folks, is your beat. You might experiment with different beats at different times in your piece. However, you have an excellent talent at crafting melodies- keep that up.

I'd truly appreciate your opinion on any of my works... if you have time?

DavidOrr responds:

Yes, that was me playing the piano (well, actually my keyboard, not my real piano). Thanks for the review, I will try to experiement around with some different beats in the future!

P.S- sure, I will review some of your stuff!

Great job

You have an interesting sound. You also managed to keep your song energetic without a kick.......... which shows serious skill in my book. Great job- just work a little on your production if you care to. You could use what you have and create a killer synth line just by adding a light flange on it and a lot of reverb... but like I said- GREAT JOB!

Well.... here's what I think.

I gotta say... I thought it was going to be a typical song when it first started... but then you started up with the beats! It was catchy- nice tune to listen to.

Great stuff here- you've got potential. Keep it up!

Anima-Theory responds:

Thanks for the review

Good Job

You've got a great sound going there. I can definitely commiserate with you on the "couldn't think of anything else to do" thing. Hope your next song does even better!

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

thanks, I hope so too lol

Once again... Wow....

Once again, you have shown us just what underground talent is capable of... I agree with DJ bLiX. Everything about your song here just melds so well together that it's impossible not to like it. Your choice of synths for the bassline is commendable. I also love the rythym you chose for the gated synths above the lead lines... I wish I knew how you did that. I would love to create that kind of sound in my music.

If you're ever need someone for a collab project, drop me a line. I'd love the chance to work with you.

Seriously think about going pro- you could go really far with your talents.

And to all those outside the realm of the underground-

Great Start

You reviewed some of my work, so now I thought I'd return the favor! I noticed one of the people who left reviews complained that your sound was fuzzy- it's possibly because of the file size at which you had to export it to Newgrounds. As for me, I do hear the fuzz, but I can also hear what's behind it. Great job on use of synths. Your beat does need some work. All I hear in there is the combination of the 4/4 kick beat and the hats. While it's good that you're able to construct a beat that's consistent with your melodies, you need more. A good beat should not only be consistent, but should compliment a piece- almost in a call-and-response format. Plus, you gotta have energy in your piece- and the drum line's a good place to draw from for that. Add some breaks where you feel they should go, and just experiment. Good luck!

AMAZING

Take it from me- you've got great energy in your music! I love the new vocals. You should go pro. Tell me- what kind of software are you using, and how did you produce the vocals?

DjSpada responds:

hi AlchemicSoul. Just to answer your question, i used a program called Dance ejay 6 for this song and the vocals are royalty free samples that came with the program.

thx for your vote

Pretty cool...

I like your sound, especially in the beginning with the piano. Your rhythym was excellent as well- very energetic while not overpowering the piano. You should try doing some more work with that. When you added in the strings though, it didn't seem to work with the whole feel you'd built up with the piano... It was confusing. Aside from that, great job!

Going to new projects!! Check it out- AscensionTrance
