Did you realize?

You start your pieces out with the same chord progression? Not good. No variety.

Best of luck workin on that.

Khuskan responds:

So you base your rating of a track on the quality and contents of other tracks by the same author?

Not good. No variety.

The beginning caught my interest

Nice! I particularly like the piano... and the vox pad you have later on in the piece. I happen to favor these minor progressions, so that was a definite plus with me! I can hear the snow...

Interesting scratch. Next time, let the scratch flow as if someone's ad-libbing it... scratching is NEVER done in a planned fashion, which makes it really hard to duplicate on software such as FL Studio.

I liked this piece overall! Best of luck with your next piece!

Thanks for the advice and input. I'll put it to use for the next piece! Thanks again.

Overall, so-so.

First of all, I can definitely see that you did not COPY this song, but transcribed it into FL.

The biggest issue I can see with your work falls with your instrumentation. I hear a lot of presets (please correct me if I'm wrong! I don't want to be a bad guy)which are both good and bad. Presets can be good if you take 'em and tweak 'em a bit with FX and different settings. However, when presets are left alone, they tend to ruin a good piece.

Experiment with some more FX in your next piece. Since you're using FL, I highly suggest experienting with the FL Flanger, Delay2, and ReVerb to make some killer synths.

Best of luck in your next piece! And review the reviewer if you don't mind. ^_^

Prins-Valentin responds:

I really don't like to repeat myself, but NO! I haven't copied a midi-file into FL, I heard the accords, then sat it INTO FL! If I really had copied the midi-file, I would never post it on any site! When do y'all understand?

Ummmm...

The Vox got kinda annoying.

choopocobra responds:

yeah i had a feeling they were.

Wow

Truly interesting. :) Fivened.

Ok, let's get down to business.

The mastering on this song struck me as pretty good. A nice balance of sound. However, the vox send through the vocoder got annoying after a while.

I will say this, BOUNC3- you're very good at this happy-bouncy style of trance. Very good at it. On the other hand, as a fellow musician, I urge you to branch out and try other styles. You may find you like them better. I'm saying this because you're starting to get stale. Repetition of mostly the same thing can even abrade your closest and biggest fans.

Best of luck to you sir. Review me if you wish, but please do take to heart the reviews you've gotten so far.

Interesting

You've left me in an interesting places. I'm not sure if this is distinct enough to constitute a remix... or if it's not. Iunno.

Sounds good. Devote those skills to new stuff since this sort of thing is so overplayed on the AP.

DJ-SkiLLz responds:

well thats what i thought cuz i was thinking when i was doing this if it really was a remix but meh i dont really care i guess yew can call it one just hope i dont get in shite for it if its not =P

You bastard

Don't steal music.

I know how you got it. Don't steal music.

I know where it's from

It's a theme from the anime "Rurouni Kenshin."

Aeterminus responds:

Thank you! I knew I heard it somewhere before.

Going to new projects!! Check it out- AscensionTrance
